About these terms

These terms cover your use of the Book Bridge app and bookbridge.dev. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

What Book Bridge does

Book Bridge checks your reading list against the Libby / OverDrive libraries you add and shows which books you can borrow or place on hold. Borrowing itself happens in Libby. Book Bridge is not affiliated with OverDrive, Libby or Goodreads. Availability comes from their services and can be incomplete or out of date, so check Libby before relying on a result.

Your account

You need an account to use Book Bridge. Keep your email address current, because it is how you sign in. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app.

Free and Pro

Book Bridge is free to use, with limits on how many libraries you can add and how many results you can see. Book Bridge Pro removes those limits. It is sold as an annual subscription that renews automatically. The limits and what Pro includes may change over time. The app always shows what applies to you.

Subscriptions and the free trial

• Price. The price is shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase, or when your free trial ends.
• Free trial. New subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid annual subscription and you are charged. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
• Automatic renewal. The subscription renews every year at the price then in effect, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. If the price changes, Apple or Google will tell you before it applies.
• Cancelling. You manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings, not in Book Bridge. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
• Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. The subscription belongs to your Apple ID or Google account, so cancel it in the store before deleting your Book Bridge account if you no longer want it.
• Refunds. Payments are processed by Apple or Google, so refund requests go to them and follow their policies. The Support page explains how.

One subscription, one account

A subscription unlocks Pro on the Book Bridge account that bought it, on every device you sign in to. If you restore purchases while signed in to a different Book Bridge account with the same Apple ID or Google account, Pro moves to that account and leaves the first one. Two accounts cannot share one subscription.

Complimentary Pro for existing users

People who had a Book Bridge account before subscriptions launched receive a complimentary period of Pro. It is not a subscription. It costs nothing, it does not renew, and nothing is charged when it ends. When it ends, your account returns to the free tier unless you subscribe. It stays with the account it was given to, and it does not carry over to a new account.

Acceptable use

Use Book Bridge for your own reading. Do not use it to scrape or resell library data, disrupt or overload the service or the services it relies on, access other people's accounts, or reverse engineer the app. When you connect Goodreads, you let Book Bridge read your shelves and update them when you ask it to. Your use of Goodreads remains subject to Goodreads' own terms.

Changes to the service

We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If a change takes away something Pro subscribers are paying for, we will tell you in the app first. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

No warranty and limitation of liability

Book Bridge is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including that availability results are accurate or that the service is uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Book Bridge in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes we will also tell you in the app. If you keep using Book Bridge after a change, you accept the updated terms.
