What Book Bridge does

Book Bridge checks your reading list against your local Libby / OverDrive library to show which books you can borrow or place on hold. It does not sell books, display ads, or monetize your data in any way.

Information we collect

  • Your email address and name, provided when you create an account (via Clerk).
  • Your Goodreads reading list, either synced via Goodreads or uploaded as a CSV file.
  • The Libby / OverDrive library locations you choose to add.
  • Availability results returned by the OverDrive API for your books and libraries.

How we use your information

  • To authenticate you and associate your data with your account.
  • To query the OverDrive API on your behalf and display availability results.
  • To cache API responses so repeat lookups are faster and reduce load on OverDrive servers.

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics sold to third parties, or any purpose beyond providing the app's core functionality.

Third-party services

Book Bridge relies on the following third-party services to operate:

  • Clerk — authentication and account management.
  • Supabase — database storage for your libraries and scan results.
  • Vercel — hosting and serverless infrastructure.
  • OverDrive / Libby — library availability data (queried via their public API).

Each service is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not share your data with any other parties.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Children's privacy

Book Bridge is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
