What Book Bridge does

Book Bridge checks your reading list against your local Libby / OverDrive library to show which books you can borrow or place on hold. It is paid for by an optional subscription, Book Bridge Pro. It does not sell books, display ads, or sell or share your data.

Information we collect

  • Your email address and name, provided when you create an account.
  • Your Goodreads reading list, either synced via Goodreads or uploaded as a CSV file.
  • The Libby / OverDrive library locations you choose to add.
  • Availability results returned by the OverDrive API for your books and libraries.
  • If you connect Goodreads, the sign-in session Goodreads gives the app, stored encrypted, so Book Bridge can sync your shelves and update them when you ask it to.
  • If you subscribe to Book Bridge Pro, your subscription status and purchase history: the product, purchase and renewal dates, price, and the store's transaction identifiers. Your card and payment details go to Apple or Google and never reach us.
  • If you send feedback from the app, your message and any screenshots you attach.

How we use your information

  • To authenticate you and associate your data with your account.
  • To query the OverDrive API on your behalf and display availability results.
  • To keep your latest availability results, so they are there when you open the app.
  • To know whether your account has Book Bridge Pro, and unlock it on every device you sign in on.

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics sold to third parties, or any purpose beyond providing the app's core functionality.

Third-party services

  • Supabase — sign-in and data storage.
  • Vercel — hosting.
  • OverDrive / Libby — library availability.
  • RevenueCat — Book Bridge Pro subscriptions. It receives your account ID (a random identifier, not your name or email) and your purchase records.
  • Resend — sign-in code and feedback emails.

Each of these services receives only the data it needs for its job, and protects it to the same standard as this policy. Subscription payments are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, or by contacting us at the email below. Deleting it removes your account, reading list, libraries and results. Feedback you have sent is kept, but no longer linked to you. We will process emailed deletion requests within 30 days. Deleting your account does not cancel a Book Bridge Pro subscription, which you manage in your App Store or Google Play account. Purchase records held by RevenueCat, Apple and Google may be kept for accounting and tax purposes.

Children's privacy

Book Bridge is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
